Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and support the learning and development of students with diverse needs.

Responsibilities:

Assist the SEN teacher in planning, implementing, and evaluating individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities, helping them to engage with the curriculum and achieve their goals.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure effective communication and continuity of support for students with SEN.
Monitor and record the progress of students, identifying areas for improvement and adapting support strategies as necessary.
Assist with the personal care and well-being of students, including supporting with mobility, personal hygiene, and emotional regulation.

What We Look for in You?

Enthusiastic individuals with a genuine passion for education.
Prior experience working with children and young people with SEN, either in a school setting or another relevant environment.
Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively and positively with empathy and patience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Attainment of a good general standard of education (GCSE Grade C or equivalent) in both English and Maths, alongside IT proficiency.
