About the Role
Could you be the consistent, positive adult who helps a pupil unlock their potential?
Supply Desk is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and small-group support within a Southampton school.
You'll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to help a pupil access their education, develop independence and feel confident within the school environment.
This is an ideal role for an experienced TA, support worker or someone looking to build a career within SEND education.
Key Responsibilities
Provide focused 1:1 and small-group classroom support.
Help pupils access and engage with lessons.
Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
Encourage communication and social development.
Assist with interventions and personalised learning.
Build a trusting relationship with pupils.
Support independence and self-confidence.
Communicate effectively with teachers and support staff.
Candidate Requirements
Experience with children, young people or vulnerable individuals.
SEN experience would be highly desirable.
Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
Ability to build strong professional relationships.
Confident and consistent when supporting behaviour.
Excellent communication skills.
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
