Learning Support Assistants: £13.75 per hour
Teachers: MPS/UPS (£32,916 – £51,048)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Multiple roles available – permanent, temporary, and supply placements
About the Roles
Teaching Personnel are working with SEND schools and specialist provisions across Portsmouth and the surrounding Hampshire area to recruit qualified Teachers and Learning Support Assistants.
We currently have several opportunities available for candidates ready to start immediately and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with additional needs.
Role Responsibilities
Teachers
Deliver engaging, SEND-focused lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
Assess, track, and report on pupil progress
Work closely with LSAs, SENCOs, and the wider school team
Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Learning Support Assistants (LSAs)
Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
Support children with SEND, SEMH, or additional learning needs
Help create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
Who We’re Looking For
Qualified Teachers (QTS or equivalent)
Experienced LSAs or Teaching Assistants
Candidates passionate about supporting pupils in SEND settings
Individuals who hold an enhanced child-only DBS (or are willing to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
