* Contract Type: Flexible supply OR Long-term Supply OR Permanent

Are you a qualified and dedicated teacher with a passion for making a profound impact on the lives of students? We invite you to join our team as a supply SEN Teacher, as we're seeking enthusiastic individuals to contribute to our commitment to access to education for all children and young people.
About the role:
You will be working with schools based locally to you that teach and support children with EHCPs. Supply work will be pre-booked, giving you notice, so you can plan your week.
You could be working in specialist school and Alternative provisions teaching children from 4-18 years of age that have EHCPs for any of the following:
* Complex needs
* Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
* Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
* Global Learning Development (GLD)
* Speech, language and communication needs (SLCN)
* Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
* Profound and multiple learning disability (PMLD)
* Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH)
* Trauma
* Looked After Chilld/ren (LAC)
* Hearing Impaired (H.I.)
* Visually impaired (V.I.)
Children and young people with SEN and identified needs, often exhibit one or more of the following characteristics:
* Physical Disabilities
* Intellectual Disabilities
* Sensory Impairments
* Medical Conditions
* Behavioural Challenges
SEN schools and Alternative Provisions will have smaller class sizes; usually between 4 and 10 pupils in each class, depending on the needs of the children and young people. You will also have a higher ratio of staff to children due to the 1:1, or in some cases, 2:1 ratios of the children. Lessons can follow the national curriculum or functional skills, and/or the nurturing of critical life skills (social interaction and communication, and independence).
Requirements:
You DO NOT NEED to be an expert on any of the conditions or characteristics listed above! What you DO need, is:
* QTS
* Patience and understanding that every child in your class is facing individual challenges
* The ability to tailor your approach for each child in your class
* The capability to create a fully inclusive class and learning activities
* Skills in teamwork
* Understanding of a range of positive behaviour management strategies
