Salary: £170 - £220 per day
Are you a qualified SEND Teacher with experience supporting pupils with SEMH and EBD?
Do you have the resilience and strong classroom management skills needed to engage pupils within an alternative provision?
Are you passionate about helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with an alternative provision in the ST6 area of Stoke-on-Trent, supporting pupils of mixed ages with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The provision focuses on providing a structured and supportive learning environment for pupils who require an alternative approach to mainstream education.
The provision is looking to appoint a SEND Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis from September. The successful SEND Teacher will teach pupils across mixed age groups, adapting lessons to individual needs, managing challenging behaviour effectively and helping pupils to re-engage positively with their education.
The successful SEND Teacher will have:
QTS
Experience teaching children and young people with SEND
Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and EBD
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
The ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of individual needs
A resilient, patient and adaptable approach
