We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Teacher to join our specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive and nurturing environment where relationships, consistency, and positive outcomes are at the heart of everything we do.
About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs, many of whom may have experienced barriers to education. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students re-engage with learning, develop confidence, and achieve both academically and personally.
Subjects can be tailored to your specialism, although a flexible and creative approach to teaching is essential.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
Have experience working with secondary-aged pupils
Be confident managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
Have a strong understanding of SEMH needs and trauma-informed practice
Be patient, empathetic, and resilient
Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
