Are you an experienced SEN Teacher looking for new opportunities in Birmingham?
Winner Education are seeking a SEN Primary Teacher for a Special Needs school based in South Birmingham. This role will start from September on a long-term placement and will be full time. The successful applicant will carry out class teacher responsibilities, maintain general classroom support as well as 1:1 intervention support for SEN children. You will preferably hold QTS Status.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Conduct class teacher responsibilities
Support primary aged pupils
Lead lesson planning and preparation based on individual learner requirements
Lead and work alongside TA’s supporting group of learners
Provide personal care if and when required
Provide regular learner assessments and progress reports
Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and student welfare
Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
The successful SEN Teacher will have:
QTS status
Previous PMLD experience
Previous experience working primary aged SEN children
Good knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum, in particular the primary level
Strong resilience and patience
Previous experience working with children with Autism and challenging behaviours
Previous experience in lesson planning
