SEN Teacher – Bushey

Location: Bushey area
Start-date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time
Pay: £150-£220pd (Dependent on experience)

Supply Desk are currently seeking a passionate, dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in the Bushey area. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, providing engaging and differentiated learning experiences that support their academic, social and emotional development.

This role is ideal for an enthusiastic teacher who is committed to creating a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where pupils with additional needs can build confidence, develop independence and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
• Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health needs
• Develop and implement individualised learning strategies and support plans
• Create a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Monitor, assess and record pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and social development
• Encourage independence, confidence and active participation in learning
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff to ensure pupils receive effective and consistent support
• Collaborate with SENCOs, parents/carers and external professionals where appropriate
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress, attainment and wellbeing
• Contribute to the wider school community and support a positive school culture

Role Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs (preferred)
• Strong understanding of SEN needs and effective teaching and support strategies
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to differentiate and adapt teaching to meet individual pupil needs
• Passion for education and supporting pupils with additional needs
• Knowledge of safeguarding
• Primary, secondary or specialist school experience (desirable)
