SEN Teacher - Blackpool

Salary: From £150 per day (pay to scale for long-term placements)
Contract: Full-time | Part-time | Long-term | Temporary
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Working Pattern: Term Time Only

Make a Difference as an SEN Teacher

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our team, supporting pupils with additional learning needs across a range of primary and secondary schools in Blackpool.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to helping every child reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils.

Support students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties.

Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals to support pupil development.

Monitor progress and encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and personal growth.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Previous experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs (desirable).

Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

The legal right to work in the UK.

Please note: All quoted pay rates include 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, although there may be opportunities for permanent employment in the future.
