About the Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism, ADHD, emotional and behavioral difficulties, and other SEN requirements. You'll work closely with a supportive team to deliver high-quality, tailored education that meets the individual needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the specific needs and abilities of SEN students.
Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic progress and emotional well-being.
Develop individualised education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with SENCOs and other professionals.
Implement behavior management strategies and provide support for students with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Proven experience working with SEN students in a school or PRU setting.
Strong understanding of SEN provisions and strategies for supporting diverse learning needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of SEN students.
