Contract: Full time/Part Time

About the opportunity:

This opportunity is located in Hazlemere,  the ideal candidate will play an integral part in inspiring SEND students to reach their full potential and develop their skills in a highly supportive school.

Key responsibilities:

Plan and teach lessons, ranging from 1-on-1 sessions to small groups
Prepare teaching materials, write reports
Manage behaviour, talk with staff and parents about children’s progress
Work closely with specialist teaching services
Requirements:

Previous experience working with SEN children
Good knowledge of SEN and passion to develop
Able to commit to working fixed days – full or part time
NVQ in Childcare and education or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
May have had previous experience in residential support work, care or support working in schools
Team Teach, TEACCH or positive handling training
Experience of developing independence in young people
Experience of supporting social and emotional development
Has a clear and valid DBS on the update service  or willing to obtain one
