Description:

We are seeking a caring and motivated SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Telford. This is a full time role starting in May 2026 and continuing until July 2026, with the potential to become a permanent position for the successful candidate.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access education, build confidence, and achieve positive progress both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEN and behavioural needs

* Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

* Differentiate learning activities to support pupils with varying abilities and learning styles

* Manage behaviour effectively using positive behaviour strategies and trauma-informed approaches

* Monitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to support development

* Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure pupils receive consistent support

* Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing, confidence, and personal development

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and committed to making a positive impact within an alternative provision setting.

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

* Experience working with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural needs is desirable

* Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills

* Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to supporting pupils

* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

* Committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
