SEN Teacher for Secondary Class

Location: Coventry
Start Date: September 2024
Position: Full-Time, Permanent

We are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join one of the schools we work with in Coventry, Rugby or Nuneaton starting in September 2024. This is a full-time, permanent position where you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality education and support to secondary class students.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and effective lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with special educational needs.
Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other staff, parents, and external agencies.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the academic, social, and emotional development of each student.
Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and support to ensure all students achieve their potential.
Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support to students.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to continually enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (Desirable - not compulsory) 
Experience working with secondary school students with special educational needs (Desirable - not compulsory) 
Strong understanding of SEN best practices, strategies, and interventions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
