Are you a qualified SEND Teacher looking for flexible day-to-day work within a primary SEND school?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic primary SEND school based in Darlington. The school provides a nurturing and supportive environment for students with SEMH and additional communication needs, including non-verbal pupils. Staff within the setting are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEND Teacher on a day-to-day basis. The successful SEND Teacher will be supporting primary aged students with SEMH and non-verbal needs, delivering engaging lessons, adapting learning approaches and using positive behaviour strategies to support students throughout the school day.
The successful SEND Teacher will have:
• QTS or relevant teaching qualification
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND, specifically SEMH and non-verbal needs
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to adapt learning to meet individual student needs
• A calm, patient and nurturing approach
• A proactive and adaptable attitude
