SEN Teacher (QTS) | East Berkshire | September 2026 Start

Location: East Berkshire
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2026

Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people with Autism?

A specialist school in East Berkshire is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join its team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive special educational needs setting where personalised learning, pupil wellbeing, and positive outcomes are central to everyday practice.

The school provides education for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and additional learning needs, with a strong focus on structured, individualised approaches that support communication, social development, and independence. Pupils present with a range of needs, and teaching is carefully adapted to ensure learning is accessible and meaningful for every child.

As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering differentiated lessons, assessing progress, and adapting your teaching to meet individual learning needs. You will work closely with support staff and other professionals to create a consistent and supportive learning environment that enables pupils to engage and progress at their own level.

The role also involves contributing to behaviour support strategies, maintaining clear routines within the classroom, and working collaboratively with families to ensure a joined-up approach to pupil development.

We are looking for a qualified teacher (QTS essential) with experience in Special Educational Needs, ideally within Autism provision or a specialist setting. You should be confident in classroom management, able to build strong relationships, and committed to inclusive and pupil-centred teaching.

Apex Educ8 is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All applicants will be subject to enhanced DBS and reference checks in line with safer recruitment practices.

If you are an enthusiastic SEN Teacher looking for your next opportunity in special education, we would love to hear from you.
