SEN Teacher (Primary)

Full-Time Position

Temporary position

2nd September 2024 - 31st August 2025

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Teacher to join a designated special provision, in a local primary school in Walton. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality education to students with special educational needs and a commitment to making a positive impact on their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to the needs of students with special educational needs;
Assessing and monitoring student progress, and using this information to inform future planning and delivery;
Working closely with the SENCo, classroom teachers, and support staff to ensure that the needs of all students are met;
Communicating effectively with parents and carers, and keeping them informed of their child's progress;
Supporting and guiding teaching assistants, and working as part of a team to provide the best possible outcomes for students;
Participating in professional development opportunities to further enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of SEN teaching.

Requirements:

A relevant teaching qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS);
Previous experience teaching students with special educational needs, and a strong understanding of different types of SEN and how they impact learning;
The ability to plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons, and to assess and monitor student progress effectively;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues;
A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs.
