Bright Star Talent is recruiting on behalf of a specialist school supporting autistic children and young people aged 11–19 years. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a highly supportive team, delivering outstanding education and helping every pupil achieve their full potential.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils' individual needs and EHCP outcomes.

* Create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment.

* Support pupils' academic, social, emotional and communication development.

* Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and external professionals.

* Use autism-friendly teaching strategies and positive behaviour support approaches.

* Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress, adapting teaching where required.

* Encourage independence, confidence and personal growth.

The Ideal Candidate

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

* Experience working with autistic children and young people or pupils with additional needs is desirable.

* A patient, resilient and caring approach to teaching.

* Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

* Must hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the DBS Update Service, or be willing to obtain one prior to employment.
