Protocol Education are looking to appoint an SEN Teacher for a Secondary SEN school within a mutli academy trust, in Eastbourne.
The school for students from 11-19 who need the support of a unique and specialised curriculum to enable them to reach their full potential. It has been acknowledged by Ofsted that this is a 'Good' school and that there is enough evidence that the school could be judged 'Outstanding' if they were to carry out a graded inspection now! The school is within a multi academy trust which consists of exceptional special schools which provide the best possible educational opportunities for all its learners and their families.
The school are looking for a SEN teacher to join their team to deliver a primary-levelled curriculum to their students.
Role: SEN Teacher
Location: Eastbourne
Hours: Monday - Friday 830am - 330pm
Start date: ASAP or 1st September 2024
Qualifications: QTS

Demonstrates a genuine passion for working with students with special needs and a commitment to their educational and personal development.
Exhibits excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Is flexible and able to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
Shows patience, empathy, and resilience when working with students who have complex needs.
Utilizes creative teaching approaches to engage and motivate students.
Is committed to continuous learning and professional growth in the field of special education.
Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the primary curriculum.
Adapt secondary-level subject knowledge to be age-appropriate for primary students.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student engagement and achievement.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them reach their full potential.
Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
