Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher specialising in autism education? Reeson Education is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a full-time SEN Teacher to join an autism resource base at a primary school in Balham. This role offers both long-term and permanent prospects, starting in September. Join us in making a significant impact on the lives of primary-aged children with autism.

Key Responsibilities:

Specialised Instruction: Provide tailored, high-quality teaching to primary-aged children with autism, focusing on their individual needs and learning styles.
IEP Implementation: Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to set and achieve specific goals for each student.
Inclusive Environment: Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic development of children with autism.
Progress Assessment: Regularly assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods and interventions to meet evolving needs and abilities.
Behaviour Management: Employ effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive and structured learning environment, addressing any behavioural issues with sensitivity and professionalism.
Collaboration: Work closely with teaching assistants, other teachers, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support and best practices in autism education.Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold QTS with significant experience teaching children with autism in a primary school setting.
Autism Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and experience in autism education, including strategies for communication, social skills, and sensory needs.
IEP Proficiency: Proven ability to develop and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each child.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
