Teacher Active is proud to be working with schools in Towcester that support vulnerable children that have Special Needs which vary from Moderate learning Disabilities and complex learning difficulties to disruptive behaviour and Autism.

As a SEND Science Teacher you will be working with students, which may include outdoor activities and many ways of teaching and supporting children. As well as being a key figure in their lives, our teachers always look for fun and unique ways to be engaging in the classroom!
The schools we work with are looking for a SEND Science Teacher that can fill long term and permanent placements. They provide an abundance of experience, which can allow you to grow as a teacher while being paid at market leading rates. We have experienced and dedicated SEND Consultants choosing placements that suit your availability, pref erence and skills.
The right SEND Teacher / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Teacher will have the following:
Qualified Teacher Status/QTS, 6 months previous SEND experience
Flexible and able to cover classes last minute to cover for staff sickness or training
Lessons will often be pre-planned, however, ideally capable of planning your own lesson activities and resources
Adapting tasks to meet the needs of individual children
Effective behaviour management skills
Effective communication with members of internal staff
