We are currently working closely with a welcoming and supportive SEND school in Shrewsbury, which provides education and support for children and young people from EYFS through to 18+.
The school is looking for a passionate, patient and dedicated SEND Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis, with the potential for the position to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role
As a SEND Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual needs.
Work with pupils ranging from EYFS through to 18+, depending on your experience and the needs of the school.
Adapt and differentiate learning to ensure every pupil can access their education.
Support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.
Develop pupils' communication, independence and life skills.
Create a calm, safe and nurturing learning environment.
Monitor and assess individual pupil progress.
Work closely with teaching assistants, families, therapists and other professionals.
Build strong, positive relationships with pupils.
Support pupils' personal, social and emotional development.
Contribute to individual education and support plans.
Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a teacher who is:
QTS qualified or holds an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experienced in, or passionate about, SEND education.
Patient, caring and compassionate.
Adaptable and able to respond to individual pupil needs.
Confident creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Able to use positive behaviour-management strategies.
A strong communicator and team player.
Committed to helping every pupil reach their individual potential.
Reliable, enthusiastic and looking for a long-term opportunity.
Experience within a special school, SEND setting or alternative provision would be desirable, although teachers from mainstream backgrounds with a genuine passion for SEND are encouraged to apply.
