About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) with a specialisation in SEMH to join our team in Newham, London. This rewarding role involves providing tailored support to students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, ensuring they receive the guidance and assistance needed to thrive academically and socially.

As a SEN TA focusing on SEMH, you will work closely with classroom teachers to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies designed to meet the unique needs of each student.

Your role will involve fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive social interactions, and helping students develop essential life skills. • Relevant experience working with children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ideally within a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, under the guidance of the classroom teacher.

• Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies effectively.

• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and wellbeing.

• Assist with the personal care and social development of students as required.
