About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialization in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) to join a vibrant school community in Islington, London. The role involves providing essential support to pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 who require additional assistance due to SEMH challenges. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners in a supportive and inclusive educational environment.

• Proven experience working with children or young adults with SEMH needs, ideally within a school setting.
• Relevant qualifications or training related to Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Resilience, patience, and a proactive approach to supporting pupil development and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support to pupils with SEMH needs, both in and out of the classroom.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
• Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment conducive to the emotional well-being and academic progress of all pupils.
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic support for pupils.
