About the role:

This position is a full-time, long-term role based in Harrow, London. The vacancy has arisen due to an expansion in our SEN department to meet the increasing demand for specialised support in SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team focused on providing tailored education and support to primary school students. The role offers an immediate start and provides the opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of children with specific educational needs.

Application Requirements:

• Experience working with children with SEMH needs, preferably in an educational setting.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with students, teachers, and parents.

• Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting children’s learning and emotional well-being.

• Relevant qualifications or certifications in teaching assistance or special educational needs (SEN) are desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, assisting them in their academic and personal development.

• Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.

• Monitor and track students’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.

• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive behavior and emotional resilience.
