Hours of Work: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Term Time

About the role:

Join our team as a full-time SEN TA specializing in SEMH, starting immediately. This role, created to enhance our support for students, offers a unique opportunity to work closely with SEN children, particularly those facing challenges with depression, in small groups within the classroom.

The recruitment process involves two stages: an initial interview with the Head of SEN and an observation session with the class. If you're passionate about supporting students with special educational needs, and share our values, we'd love to hear from you.

Application Requirements:

• Relevant experience working with SEN children, particularly those with SEMH needs.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.

• Understanding of trauma-informed practices and strategies to support students with SEMH needs.

• Commitment to ongoing professional development and willingness to participate in relevant training programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to SEN students with SEMH needs, including those experiencing depression, through one-on-one sessions and small group activities.

• Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), ensuring students' specific needs are met effectively in the classroom.

• Utilise trauma-informed approaches to create a safe and supportive learning environment, implementing strategies to promote emotional regulation and resilience among students.
