About the role:

Join our team as a SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialization in SEMH, starting immediately on a long-term basis. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work closely with students with Special Educational Needs, particularly focusing on Social, Emotional, and Mental Health. You’ll be an integral part of a supportive team, providing both one-on-one support and group activities within the classroom. With administrative support provided, you’ll have the opportunity to focus on what matters most: supporting the academic and personal growth of our students.

Application Requirements:

• Updated CV highlighting relevant experience in supporting students with Special Educational Needs, particularly SEMH.
• Evidence of any additional training or courses related to SEN support, behavior management, or mental health awareness beneficial.
• Empathy and patience to understand and support the diverse needs and challenges of students with SEMH.
• Adaptability and resilience to respond calmly and proactively to challenging behaviors and situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualised support to students with SEMH needs, implementing strategies to address their social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions to support the academic progress and personal development of SEN students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported, respected, and valued.
