About the role:

Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of students with challenging behaviours?

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialisation in managing challenging behaviours, including violent behaviours, to join a vibrant school community in Hackney, London. You will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and emotional development of students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Application Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviours, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
• Relevant qualifications or training in SEN and behaviour management (desirable).

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting Learning: Assisting teachers in implementing tailored learning activities and strategies to meet individual student needs.
• Behaviour Management: Using your expertise to de-escalate and manage challenging behaviours, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.
• Personalised Support: Providing one-on-one and small group support sessions to help students overcome barriers to learning.
• Collaborative Approach: Working closely with SENCOs, teachers, and parents/carers to create cohesive support plans that promote student progress.
