About the role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in managing challenging behaviours to join our team in Ealing, London. As an integral part of our inclusive educational environment, you will work closely with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students with special educational needs, providing tailored support and guidance to facilitate their learning and development.

In this role, you may also deal with students prone to screaming, requiring patience, understanding, and effective de-escalation techniques to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.

Application Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, particularly those with challenging behaviours is preferred.

• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.

• Flexibility, patience, and resilience in working with diverse learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.

• Implement behavior management strategies to promote a positive learning environment.

• Support students in accessing the curriculum and adapting materials as necessary.
