About the role: We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with expertise in managing challenging behaviours to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis. This role is pivotal in supporting the educational and emotional development of our students, ensuring they receive the tailored assistance they need to excel. Class sizes are standard for Key Stage 1 and 2, ensuring a manageable workload.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with SEN students, particularly those with challenging behaviours.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to supporting student learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implementing IEPs and behavior management strategies in collaboration with the class teacher.
• Providing one-on-one and small group support to SEN students during lessons and activities.
• Supporting the social and emotional development of students through mentoring and positive reinforcement.
