About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with expertise in managing challenging behaviours to join our supportive team in Newham, London. This rewarding role involves working closely with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students, providing crucial support in both academic and personal development.

You will collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to implement individual education plans (IEPs), foster a positive learning environment, and ensure all students have equal opportunities to thrive.

Application Requirements:

• Relevant experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly those with challenging behaviours.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

• A passion for inclusive education and a commitment to supporting the individual needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement individual education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of the SENCO.

• Provide one-on-one support to students with challenging behaviours, helping them to engage with learning activities.

• Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored interventions to support academic and social development.

• Foster a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes the wellbeing and progress of students.
