Location: Finchley, Barnet, London

Hours of Work: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: Daily Rate: £85-£100

About the Role:

Passionate individuals dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are invited to join the team as a SEN Teaching Assistant specialising in Autism/ASD. In this pivotal role, candidates will play a key part in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive. Responsibilities include providing tailored support to students with Autism/ASD, assisting in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), collaborating closely with teachers and the SENCO team, and fostering positive relationships with students to nurture their social and emotional development. Access to advanced technology within the school empowers staff to enhance learning outcomes and facilitate student growth and achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with Autism/ASD, adapting teaching methods and materials as needed.

Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), monitoring progress and adjusting support student learning.

Collaborate with classroom teachers, the SENCO team, and other professionals to create and implement inclusive teaching strategies.

Foster positive relationships with students, providing encouragement, support, and guidance.

Utilise advanced technology resources available within the school to enhance teaching and learning experiences for students with Autism/ASD.
