SEN Teaching Assistant (Autism Specialism)

Location: Islington, East London

Hours of Work: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Term Time

Pay: SEN Teaching Assistant: £85-£100 Daily Rate

Contract: Full Time, Long Term

Role Overview: As an SEN Teaching Assistant with expertise in Autism, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the educational journey of students with special educational needs. Working closely with teachers and other professionals, you will provide tailored support and interventions to help students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. From assisting with classroom activities to implementing individualized learning plans, your dedication and passion will make a tangible difference in the lives of students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to students with Autism, fostering their academic and social development.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to create inclusive learning environments and adapt curriculum materials as needed.
• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to support ongoing growth and development.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with students with Autism or special educational needs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
• A patient and empathetic approach, with a genuine passion for supporting the needs of diverse learners.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing demands of the role.
