SEN-TA - Autism Spectrum Disorder Specialist

Hours of Work: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Term Time

Pay: £85-£100 per day

Location: Newham

About the role:

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? As a SEN-TA - Autism Spectrum Disorder Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Working closely with teachers and other support staff, you'll create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Application Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in an educational setting is highly desirable.

• Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs, such as SEN support or Teaching Assistant qualifications, are preferred but not essential.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Flexibility, resilience, and a positive attitude towards overcoming challenges in a dynamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (including non-verbal students) to help them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

• Implement individualised learning plans and behavior management strategies in collaboration with the SENCO and teaching team.

• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a supportive and inclusive school community.
