SEN Teaching Assistant (Specialism in Autism)

Location: Finchley, Barnet

Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time

Pay:

SEN TA: £85-£100 per day

Role Overview:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant specializing in Autism, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the diverse needs of students within our school community. Working closely with experienced educators, you will contribute to the delivery of individualized support to students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ensuring their holistic development and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to students with ASD, implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of teaching staff.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment conducive to the social and academic growth of students with ASD.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and external professionals to assess student progress and adapt support strategies accordingly.
• Promote positive behaviour management techniques and assist students in developing essential life skills.

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is highly desirable.
• A compassionate and patient demeanour, with a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support is advantageous.

Pay Details:

SEN TA: £85-£100 per day, based on experience and qualifications.
