SEN TA Specialising in Autism

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, during term time.

Pay: Daily rates based on experience and qualifications:

SEN TA: £85-£100 per day.

Position: Full-time, long-term.

Roles, Responsibilities, and Requirements:

As an SEN TA specialising in Autism, you will play a vital role in supporting students with tailored interventions and promoting their independence and well-being.

Your duties will include:

• Offering one-on-one support to students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in academic and social settings.
• Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies to aid student progress and development.
• Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and professionals to cultivate a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Tracking student progress and offering feedback to the SENCO and team members.
• Assisting students during transitions and facilitating the development of essential life skills.
• Engaging in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting students with ASD.

To excel in this role, you will need:

• Prior experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other special educational needs.
• A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Relevant qualifications or training in special education, autism support, or related fields (preferred but not mandatory).
