About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialization in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to join our inclusive school community in Harrow. This role is integral to our commitment to providing tailored support to students with ASD across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The position is available due to an expansion of our SEN department to better meet the needs of our diverse student body.

Application Requirements:

• Proven experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, preferably within a primary school setting.

• Understanding of strategies and interventions for supporting students with ASD.

• Patience, empathy, and resilience to meet the diverse needs of students with varying levels of ability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing one-on-one support to students with ASD in academic and social settings.

• Assisting the class teacher in planning and implementing differentiated lessons.

• Monitoring student progress and behavior, reporting observations to the SENCO.

• Implementing behavior management strategies and sensory integration techniques as needed.
