About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated SEN-TA (Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant) with expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to join our vibrant school community in Hackney, London. As an ASD Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the educational experience of students with ASD, ensuring they receive the tailored support they need to thrive academically and socially.
Application Requirements:
• Previous experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder is essential.
• A passion for education and a commitment to supporting the individual needs of students with SEN.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Relevant qualifications or training related to SEN support is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with ASD across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies tailored to students’ needs.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes independence and social interaction skills.
• Monitor and record student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting as required.
• Promote positive relationships with students, parents, and caregivers, ensuring effective communication and partnership in supporting student development.
