Fully Qualified SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Northampton

We are currently seeking a fully qualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Northampton. The successful candidate will work closely with students with special educational needs (SEN), providing tailored support to help them achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, both inside and outside the classroom.
* Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
* Assist students with academic tasks, including reading, writing, and mathematics, adapting materials and resources as needed.
* Support students in developing social skills and promoting positive behavior within the school environment.
* Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:
* A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent).
* Previous experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and families.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students with SEN.
* Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and legislation related to SEN education.
