Full time

Salary: £90-£110 a day depending on experience

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who is looking for a new role to start this September? If so, we want to hear from you.

Teach Plus are currently working with a fantastic mainstream primary school within the heart of Uxbridge who are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant.

This school are seeking a highly motivated individual, who is able to use their initiative and follow instructions, form good relationships with staff and the child, have a calm and patient manner, understanding the child's individual needs.

This school is a welcoming and friendly school who take pride to ensure all pupils to achieve to their full potential academically, socially and emotionally. Their latest Ofsted report in May 2023, stated that leaders makes sure pupils with SEN receive effective support. The staff all work together to identify pupils needs at an early stage and will provide on going support and training for all staff.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will be working on a one to one basis to support the child emotionally, physically and socially. You will be expected to work alongside the class teacher to carry out observations on the child to ensure suitable next steps are in place, attending regular meetings and training to ensure skills and knowledge are up to date.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will be required to:

Support with personal care
Surprise during play and meal times
Make resources needed for lessons
Be passionate, caring and supportive to children's mental wellbeing

The ideal candidate for an SEN Teaching Assistant role will have:

Level 3 Childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification
DBS on the update service ( Child work force)
Previous experience supporting children and young people with SEN as an SEN Teaching Assistant
PECS and Makaton training - preferred
Right to Work in the UK
