About Us:

We are a dedicated resourced provision located within a secondary school in Havering, Essex, committed to providing exceptional education and support for children with special educational needs. Our inclusive and nurturing environment ensures that every student receives the support they need to succeed. We are currently seeking an experienced SEN TA to join our committed team.

Role Overview:

As an SEN TA, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of our students within the resourced provision. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to children with various special educational needs. This position requires a compassionate and patient individual with a strong commitment to enhancing the education experience of SEN students.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the teacher in delivering high-quality education to SEN students within the resourced provision in Havering.
Assist with the planning and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to assessment reports.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other staff to support the holistic development of students.
Assist with the supervision of students during break times and school activities.Requirements:

Previous experience working as an SEN TA in a resourced provision or similar setting.
Knowledge and understanding of various special educational needs and effective support strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable but not essential).What We Offer:
