SEN Support Worker - Witham

Remedy Education are working with a leading Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Witham dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to students with behavior and learning difficulties. We are committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that empowers students to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with students who may have severe challenging behavior and learning difficulties. The role involves providing one-on-one support, implementing behavior management strategies, and collaborating with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive and enriching educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide individualized support to students with SEN, focusing on behavior and learning difficulties.
* Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive engagement and foster a supportive learning environment.
* Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create and implement personalized learning plans.
* Foster positive relationships with students, promoting social and emotional well-being.
* Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to the teaching team and parents/guardians.
* Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Collaborate with the wider school community to ensure a holistic and inclusive approach to education.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Previous experience working in a similar role within an SEN setting is highly desirable.
* Relevant qualifications in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
* Understanding of behavior management techniques and strategies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
* Ability to adapt and respond to the diverse needs of students with varying abilities
