SEN Secondary Teaching Assistant
Location: England, Greater London, Wandsworth
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £95 - £115 Per day
Job Duties:
Provide support to secondary school students with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN
Work closely with teachers to help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance
Help students with SEN to develop their social and communication skills
Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
Previous experience working with children or young adults with SEN
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
Relevant qualifications in Education or Special Educational Needs
Experience:
Experience working in a similar role within a school setting
Knowledge and Skills:
Understanding of special educational needs and different learning styles
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Patience, empathy, and resilience
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching Assistant qualification
First aid training
Working Conditions:
This role involves working within a secondary school environment, supporting students with SEN. The position may require occasional additional hours and participation in school events or meetings.
