SEN Mentors - Dorset & Wiltshire

Job Details

We are currently recruiting Mentors to support children and young people across Dorset and Wiltshire through personalised 1:1 mentoring programmes. Working in partnership with Local Authorities, you'll support students who require alternative educational provision and benefit from consistent, positive role models.

This is an excellent opportunity for those looking for rewarding and flexible work over the summer, with opportunities to continue into the new academic year.

Rather than focusing on academic attainment, these roles centre around building confidence, developing engagement, supporting emotional wellbeing, and helping young people overcome barriers to education. Many learners require support to re-engage with learning, develop routines, and improve their overall wellbeing.

Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour

Who We're Looking For

A minimum of 6 months' experience working in an educational setting
Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Mentors, Cover Supervisors, Teachers, Tutors, and other education professionals
Individuals with a patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
ADHD
Anxiety and school avoidance
