Teach Plus are currently working with a mainstream primary school in West Drayton where they are seeking an SEN Learning support assistant to join their team. This is a happy and caring school where hard work and good behaviour are expected. They encourage children to develop their talent and seek excellence in all that they do.

As a SEN Learning support assistant will need to assist the class teachers and Inclusion Manager in providing a secure, caring environment in which each child can find new, stimulating opportunities to develop his/her potential - emotionally, socially, physically and intellectually.

SEN Learning support assistant will need to address the needs of children to overcome barriers to learning, both inside and outside the classroom, in order to achieve their full potential and enable the school to raise standards of achievement and maintain outstanding standards of behaviour

As a SEN Learning support assistant, you will be required to:

Promote awareness and respect for self, others and property, encouraging appropriate behaviour.
To use appropriate strategies to support the pupils' learning and language development.
Foster awareness and respect for each child regardless of religion, culture, gender or ability.
Deliver, monitor and evaluate interventions that address children's difficulties e.g. speech and language, literacy or math
Liaise with the Speech and Language Therapist, Assistant Headteacher, SENCO, Class Teacher, Intervention Teachers and other agencies to ensure that interventions are specific to each child's needs
Undertake all necessary tasks to keep the classroom clean, tidy, safe, and efficiently organised for daily use.
Organise and supervise such activities, both indoors and outdoors, which encourage the growth and development of the whole child.
Maintain a good working relationship with the class teacher, being able to report all aspects of children's development, planning, record keeping, assessment, curriculum matters and development of the class.

The ideal candidate for a SEN learning support assistant will have:

CACHE Level 2/3 Teaching assistant
Enhanced DBS on the update service - Child work force only
Must be able to work Full time
Right to work within the UK

Holiday pay is calculated at 12.07% of the gross salary payment, and is inclusive on quoted hourly or daily rates
