Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role this September?
Academics is currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive SEN school in East Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people with a range of additional needs while working as part of a committed and experienced team.
The Role
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:
Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties.
Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive learning activities.
Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual learning needs.
Encourage pupils' independence, confidence and social development.
Help create a safe, positive and nurturing learning environment.Requirements
A minimum of 6 months' experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs within a UK school, SEN setting or similar educational environment.
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A patient, resilient and positive approach.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.What Academics Offers
