Position: SEN Learning Mentor
Location: Hammersmith & Fulham
Salary Range: £85-£100 per day
Start date: ASAP
Are you passionate about supporting the learning and well-being of students with special educational needs (SEN)? Do you thrive in a role where you can make a positive impact on the lives of young people? If so, we have an amazing opportunity for you to join our client school as a SEN Learning Mentor in the vibrant borough of Hammersmith and Fulham!
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, helping them with academic tasks, social skills development, and emotional well-being.
Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies, tailoring support to meet the unique needs of each student.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support and progress monitoring.
Act as a positive role model for students, promoting resilience, independence, and self-confidence.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with students with SEN, preferably in an educational or support setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students, colleagues, and parents.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting the learning and well-being of students with diverse needs.
Flexibility and adaptability to respond effectively to the evolving needs of students and the school environment.
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support or mentoring (desirable but not essential).
