Location: Westbury

Start Date: September 24

Role and Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs, including those with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and other challenges.
Assist classroom teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
Support students in accessing the curriculum, participating in classroom activities, and developing essential skills, such as literacy, numeracy, communication, and self-regulation.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued, respected, and supported in their learning journey.
Collaborate with classroom teachers, SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), and other support staff to monitor student progress, evaluate interventions, and adjust strategies as needed.
Communicate effectively with parents/carers, providing regular updates on student progress and collaborating on strategies to support learning and development at home.Requirements:

Relevant experience working with students with special educational needs is preferred but not required. Training and support will be provided.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents/carers, and external professionals.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.
Flexibility and adaptability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment.
Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in education.
