Job Title: Class Teacher (with QTS)
Location: Harlow
Salary: £160-£220
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Role Purpose: We are seeking a dedicated Class Teacher to join The school. The successful candidate will carry out the duties of a class teacher as set out in the Department for Education Teachers’ Standards, contributing to the education and welfare of a designated class of children in accordance with the National Curriculum and school policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Curriculum Development: Liaise with the lead professional in your allocated subject area, maintain up-to-date knowledge of current initiatives, and contribute to the development of your subject across the school.
Classroom Management: Demonstrate excellent classroom practice, establish and maintain positive relationships with pupils, and act as a role model for other staff.
Assessment and Reporting: Ensure all pupils are adequately prepared for external assessments and examinations, contribute to annual reports to Governors, and use pupil data to coordinate strategies for improvement.
Resource Coordination: Coordinate and manage resources, monitor and maintain budgets for allocated areas, and ensure effective use of materials and equipment.
Collaboration: Work closely with multi-agency services, parents/carers, and other professionals to support pupil achievement and progress.
Core Duties:
Implement planned learning activities and adjust according to pupil responses.
Support the social, emotional, and educational development of pupils.
Use evaluation data to inform curriculum development and ensure engaging learning opportunities.
Manage teaching assistants and support staff within the classroom.
Additional Duties:
Coordinate and review curriculum plans, monitor pupil progress, and raise concerns regarding achievement.
Contribute to the whole school development plan, taking responsibility for agreed areas.
Deliver out-of-school learning activities within established guidelines and identify opportunities to extend classroom learning.
