Description:

Working closely with the SENCO, teaching staff, parents and external agencies, the successful candidate will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the SEN department.

Previous school-based administration experience is highly desirable, although applications are also welcomed from candidates with strong administrative experience and a genuine interest in supporting students with additional needs.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented and confident managing a busy workload. They will play an integral role in maintaining accurate records, coordinating documentation and supporting the delivery of SEN provision across the school.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have previous administration experience, ideally within a school environment.
Possess excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Be confident maintaining accurate and confidential student records.
Have experience liaising with parents, staff and external professionals.
Be able to prioritise multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Have knowledge of SEN processes, EHCPs and annual reviews (desirable).
Be proficient in Microsoft Office and school management systems such as SIMS (desirable).
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.Experience, Training and Qualifications

Previous administration experience is essential.
Experience working within a school or educational setting is desirable.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Experience using SIMS or other school databases is advantageous.
A strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
Up-to-date safeguarding training (desirable but not essential).To Be Eligible for This Role Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:

Be willing to register with Prospero Teaching and complete all compliance procedures.
Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
