Description:
Berry Recruitment are currently looking for a part-time Activity Leader (SEN) to take charge of and develop the activity clubs for children and young people aged 7-19 years with Special Educational Needs.
The activities you will be leading will include reading, arts & crafts, games, exercise and sports. You will be required to plan, prepare and deliver high quality activity sessions, be responsible for the safety of participants and staff during sessions, manage and record any First Aid & Safeguarding Incidents.
The ideal candidate will be confident in decision making and have excellent communication skills.
This role requires a Childcare/Teacher/Teaching Assistant Qualification, experience of supporting or caring for children with special educational needs, disabilities or long-term health conditions and experience organising activities for people with disabilities or long-term health conditions.
An Enhanced DBS is also required for this role.
During Term Time, shift patterns will consist of Saturdays only 12.15pm-4.15pm and during School Holidays, shift patterns will consist of Monday-Thursday 9.45am-2.15pm
(Fridays will be required if there is a Bank Holiday Monday).
Hourly rate will be £14.95-£15.10 an hour dependent on experience.
A vehicle would be required for this role as you may be required to visit different venues.
